Ebay strikes again!

E-bay gum! Imagine my reaction as I travelled 25 miles to provide a quotation to an excited lady, who wanted Balloons Galore to decorate the hall for her birthday celebrations in September, only to enter the lounge and find half-a-dozen packets lined up on the coffee table!

"I got these on Ebay ... they only cost me £50 and we'd like you to use these balloons" she said.

These bargain balloons were indeed the cheapest and nastiest balloons I have ever seen. In fact, one popped as soon as I started inflating it to demonstrate how useless the balloons were.

I politely enquired, "Do you ever take a piece of fish and a couple of spuds into the fish and chip shop and ask them to fry them?"

My message delivered, the lady accepted that her online purchase was a complete waste of money and that if she had only contacted me before pressing the 'buy it now' button, she would, in fact, have saved money!
