Imagine my surprise when I overheard a bride claim "I've never seen one this big before!" She was, of course, referring to the splendid Suffolk Wedding Show, at Wherstead Park yesterday, which was packed full of specialist suppliers to help create a perfect wedding day.
Even the dreary weather couldn't stop over 200 brides visiting this wonderful location, which is one of Suffolk's newest wedding venues, set in beautiful grounds overlooking the River Orwell. It really is a lovely setting for any celebration.
Mel and her team do a great job in creating such a professional show and their hard work and attention to detail really makes this one of the most impressive wedding fayres in Suffolk and a pleasure to attend.
The greatest shock of the day however, was the news that Vicky from the Belstead Brook Hotel had ventured out to the wedding show and forgotten to switch the oven on to cook the chicken! Gareth from Flame Entertainments was very upset, as he was due to sample this tasty bird later in the day - poor old Gareth!
My new floating flowers proved a huge success, with many nice comments from all the wedding parties who took the time to stop by the Balloons Galore stand and chat over their decoration requirements. Floating flowers are ideal as table centrepieces, or as decorative columns and are available in colours to compliment any theme.
Just one more bridal show for me this spring, so if you're considering balloons or affordable chocolate fountain hire for your special occasion, pop along and see me at the wedding fayre at the Cameo Hotel, Copdock on Sunday 25th March. Click here for more info.
